Introducing a small batch sparkling creation made by Mari's Production Supervisor, Shelbie Darga!

Featuring 85% Grüner Veltliner, 12% Sauvignon Blanc, and 3% Tocai Friulano, Storm is vibrant with citrus notes of pineapple, lemon, and grapefruit. A slightly candied, mandarin orange complexity adds to the bright and juicy feel. Mid-palate flavors transition to white pepper wrapped in light tannins resulting from five days of skin contact. Fine, but intense bubbles lead into a long-lasting finish with lingering herbaceousness.

Shelbie began in the wine industry at the age of 16, always fascinated by the equipment and process of production facilities. When she turned 18 she began working in the tasting room at Mari Vineyards, soon transitioning into the cellar after falling in love with harvest work. Aside from a six month hiatus as the Cellar Master at 2 Lads Winery, she has continued on at Mari for six years - first as a cellar hand and then as Production Supervisor, her current role.
